SportsHL LLC (“SportsHL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making its digital Platform accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Accessibility is an ongoing priority, and we continuously work to improve the user experience for everyone.
SportsHL is also committed to the principles of equal digital access consistent with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable federal accessibility standards. Although the ADA does not mandate adherence to a specific technical standard for private commercial websites and applications, WCAG 2.1 Level AA represents the widely accepted benchmark for meaningful accessibility and is the standard SportsHL has adopted.
This Accessibility Statement applies to the SportsHL Platform, which includes the sportshl.com website and our native mobile applications for iOS and Android. The Platform is operated and maintained by SportsHL LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. The Platform is available exclusively to users located within the United States who are 18 years of age or older.
The Platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
“Partially conformant” means that some parts of the Platform do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. Known gaps are primarily attributable to third-party embedded content and dynamic real-time data features that are outside our direct control. We are actively working to address these limitations.
WCAG 2.2, which includes nine new success criteria relative to WCAG 2.1, was published by the W3C in October 2023. SportsHL is aware of WCAG 2.2 and is evaluating its applicable success criteria. We intend to incorporate relevant WCAG 2.2 criteria into our accessibility roadmap and will update this Statement as progress is made.
SportsHL takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the Platform:
A. Accessibility by Design. Accessibility considerations are incorporated into our development and design processes from the outset.
B. Internal Review. We conduct periodic internal reviews of Platform accessibility using both manual testing and automated scanning tools.
C. User Testing. We incorporate accessibility feedback from users and assistive technology testing into our improvement cycles.
D. Continuous Improvement. We are committed to ongoing monitoring and remediation of accessibility barriers as they are identified.
E. Assessment Approach. The accessibility of the Platform has been assessed through self-evaluation conducted by SportsHL’s development and product teams, using a combination of manual testing with assistive technologies and automated accessibility scanning tools. SportsHL has not yet commissioned an independent external accessibility audit; we intend to engage an accredited third-party evaluator as the Platform matures and prior to any significant feature expansion.
The Platform relies on the following technologies for accessibility conformance:
These technologies are used in combination with accessibility features of modern web browsers and assistive technologies.
The Platform includes the following accessibility features:
A. Spoiler-Free Interface. Score-hidden and click-to-reveal mechanics allow users to control content disclosure at their own pace.
B. Keyboard Navigation. All primary Platform functions are operable via keyboard without requiring mouse interaction.
C. Screen Reader Compatibility. Platform content and interactive elements are structured to support screen reader accessibility.
D. Readable Presentation. Text is rendered at legible sizes and contrast ratios, with support for user-defined text scaling.
E. Descriptive Text. Images and media elements include alternative text or accessible descriptions where applicable.
The Platform displays embedded content from third-party providers, including YouTube API Services, X (Twitter), and Instagram.
This third-party content is rendered via each provider’s official embed tools. SportsHL does not control the accessibility of third-party embedded content; each provider is independently responsible for the accessibility of its own platform and embedded elements.
Users requiring accessible versions of third-party content are encouraged to access that content directly via the provider’s platform.
Certain Platform features display dynamic, real-time sports data including scores, game status, and live statistics. These dynamic content areas use ARIA live regions to notify assistive technology users of updates where technically feasible. SportsHL acknowledges that the real-time nature of this data may present challenges for some assistive technologies, and we continue to work toward improving compatibility.
The Platform is designed and tested with the following assistive technologies in mind:
We cannot guarantee full compatibility with all assistive technologies, but we will make reasonable efforts to support widely used tools upon request.
The following browser and operating system combinations represent the primary environments in which the Platform has been tested for accessibility:
Browsers more than two major versions behind current release, or mobile operating systems more than three years old, are not officially supported for accessibility purposes.
The following known limitations currently affect Platform accessibility:
A. Third-Party Embedded Content. Embedded content from YouTube, X (Twitter), and Instagram may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. These limitations are outside SportsHL’s direct control and are governed by each respective third-party provider.
B. Real-Time Data Feeds. Dynamic real-time sports data updates may not be fully accessible to all assistive technologies in all contexts. We continue to improve ARIA live region implementation.
We are committed to addressing these limitations on an ongoing basis. If you encounter an accessibility barrier not listed here, please contact us.
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the SportsHL Platform.
If you experience accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at accessibility@sportshl.com.
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days. When submitting feedback, please describe: the accessibility problem you encountered; the URL or section of the Platform where the problem occurred; and the assistive technology, browser, and device you were using.
If you are not satisfied with our initial response, you may escalate your concern to our Legal & Compliance team by writing to legal@sportshl.com. Please include “Formal Accessibility Complaint” in the subject line. We aim to propose a resolution within 10 business days of receiving a formal complaint.
If you believe your rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act or other applicable law have been violated and are not satisfied with our resolution, you may also contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division or file a complaint with the applicable federal or state enforcement authority.
If you are unable to access content or features on the Platform due to a disability, SportsHL will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or functionality through alternative means upon request. Please contact us at accessibility@sportshl.com to request a reasonable accommodation.
We may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time to reflect improvements to the Platform or changes in applicable accessibility standards.
When material changes are made, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this Statement. We encourage you to review this Statement periodically.
