1. Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how SportsHL LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company located at 30 N. Gould St., Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“SportsHL,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the sportshl.com website and our related mobile applications and services (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms and Conditions, and should be read together with our Cookie Policy. By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility: Adults (18+) in the United States Only

The Platform is intended strictly and exclusively for adults who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and who are residents of, and physically located within, the United States. The Platform is not directed to, and is not intended for, residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions outside the United States, and we do not knowingly process their data in reliance on those regional frameworks.

Children’s privacy. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, track, or retain information from any individual under the age of eighteen (18), and the Platform is not designed for children. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), if we learn or are notified by a parent or guardian that a person under 18 has provided information, we will permanently delete that account profile, its registration records, and any associated activity history from our production databases within twenty-four (24) hours. Parents or guardians may contact us at privacy@sportshl.com.

3. Information We Collect

Account information you provide. When you register an account — including via a one-tap Single Sign-On (SSO) credential through an authorized provider such as Apple Sign-In or Google Login — we collect your first name, email address, and a chosen account username.

SSO data minimization (last-name discard). Although third-party identity tokens may transmit a full name object, our application filters inbound payloads at the server ingestion boundary: we extract only the email address and first name, and we discard the legal last name (the family_name field) so that it is never written to our persistent storage. We do not request, process, or retain users’ legal last names or residential addresses.

Communications and feedback. If you email us, request support, submit feedback, or subscribe to updates, we collect the information you choose to provide and a record of those communications.

Email engagement data. Our email communications contain industry-standard tracking pixels that record opens, the device and environment used, engagement timing, and click-through paths, so we can measure and improve our communications.

Technical, device, and log data. We automatically collect non-identifying system logs when you interact with the Platform, including IP address, device and hardware identifiers, browser type, operating-system version, and page-load performance metrics.

Behavioral interface telemetry. We record in-product interactions — such as use of the score-hidden and click-to-reveal toggles, statistics views, navigation choices, scroll depth, and interactions with our proprietary Match Rating feature — to operate and improve the Platform.

Information from third parties. We receive limited information from SSO providers (as described above), from our analytics providers, and from affiliate and advertising networks that help us measure referrals and campaign performance. For details on the specific cookies, pixels, and similar technologies we use, see our Cookie Policy.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform; create and manage your account; deliver the spoiler-free experience and remember your preferences; send transactional messages and, with your consent, marketing communications; measure and attribute affiliate referrals and advertising performance; analyze usage and develop new features; detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

Aggregated and de-identified data. We may aggregate or de-identify information so that it no longer reasonably identifies you, and may use and disclose such data for analytics, research, and business purposes. We will maintain and use de-identified data in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted by law.

5. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Analytics

We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies for essential functionality, to remember your spoiler-free interface selections, to measure performance (for example, through Google Analytics 4), and to evaluate marketing campaigns (for example, through the TikTok Pixel). Because the Platform displays embedded YouTube content, Google/YouTube may also set cookies to manage streaming and playback. You can manage these technologies as described in our Cookie Policy and in Section 10 below.

6. Advertising and Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate attribution. The Platform participates in affiliate-marketing and programmatic-advertising networks and integrates pixels, cookie identifiers, and SDKs from affiliate clearinghouses, including Impact Radius, CJ Affiliate, and ShareASale. When you click an advertisement or affiliate link, a pseudo-anonymized click identifier and timestamp are passed to the external merchant of record solely to attribute referral commissions to SportsHL.

No payment data. We do not collect, process, or store your billing, banking, or credit-card information; any purchase you make after leaving the Platform is handled entirely by the third-party merchant under its own terms and privacy policy.

“Sharing” under state law. Our use of advertising and affiliate cookies and pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain U.S. state privacy laws. You can exercise your opt-out and Global Privacy Control rights as described in Sections 10 and 12.

7. Third-Party API Services (YouTube and Google)

The Platform uses YouTube API Services to display video highlights. By interacting with embedded media, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and you acknowledge that your interactions with that content are subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Consistent with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies, SportsHL does not access, request, or store your private Google account profile, contacts, or credentials. You may review and revoke the Platform’s access to your data at any time through the Google security settings page.

8. Mobile Application and App Tracking Transparency

Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT). On our iOS application, we use pseudo-anonymized advertising identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA) only if you grant permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, cross-app tracking is not performed. You can change this choice at any time in your device privacy settings.

On-device boundaries. No payment-card information, billing data, or transactional retail code is recorded, compiled, or processed within the application binary. You can manage advertising identifiers and permissions through your native iOS or Android privacy settings.

9. How We Disclose Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We disclose information only as described here:

Service providers and processors. Vendors that host our infrastructure, deliver email, provide analytics, and support security and operations, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

Advertising and affiliate partners. Analytics, advertising, and affiliate networks (for example, Google, TikTok, Impact Radius, CJ Affiliate, and ShareASale) that help us measure performance and attribute referrals, generally using pseudonymized identifiers.

Legal, safety, and compliance. Authorities or other parties where necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of SportsHL, our users, or the public.

Business transfers. A successor or acquirer in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

10. Do Not Sell or Share; Targeted-Advertising Opt-Out

You have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. You may exercise this right by: (i) enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), which we honor for the browser or device on which it is enabled; (ii) adjusting your cookie and tracking choices as described in our Cookie Policy; or (iii) emailing us at privacy@sportshl.com. Because opt-outs tied to cookies and signals are device- and browser-specific, you may need to renew your choice on each browser or device you use.

11. Marketing Communications and Consent

Double opt-in. We use a double opt-in process for marketing email: after you submit your address, we send a confirmation message, and you are added to our lists only after you click the validation link, providing express consent to receive updates, newsletters, and offers.

Unsubscribe. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and account holders can adjust notification preferences in their profile. You may continue to receive transactional or service messages necessary to operate your account.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to: access or obtain a copy of your personal information; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; obtain portability of certain information; opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising these rights.

How to submit a request. Email privacy@sportshl.com with your request. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity (or your authority to act on behalf of another person) before responding, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we decline a request, you may have the right to appeal by replying to our response.

13. U.S. State Privacy Rights

California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the rights to know/access, delete, and correct personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money; our use of advertising and affiliate technologies may constitute “sharing” or a “sale” under California law, and you may opt out as described in Section 10.

Other states (e.g., Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Montana). Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights, which may include the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as GPC.

Categories of information. The categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for use, and the categories of recipients are described in Sections 3, 4, and 9 of this Privacy Policy.

14. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS), encryption of sensitive data at rest, role-based access controls, mandatory multi-factor authentication (MFA) for administrative systems, and routing of internal administration through encrypted channels. We also do not sell, rent, or trade your email address or profile data to independent marketing clearinghouses. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Data Retention and Storage

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with our legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Information is stored in secure environments located in the United States.

16. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Our web infrastructure is configured to recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and to treat it as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising for the browser or device on which it is enabled. Because there is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” (DNT) browser signals, we treat GPC as our supported opt-out mechanism.

17. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform contains links to third-party websites, applications, and services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing any information.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Changes are effective when posted (or on any later date we specify). Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
